An unshared knowledge cannot be improved and may probably die if its owner holds on to it selfishly. If you desire rapid and supersonic progress in life, share that special or general knowledge of yours with people who will appreciate it. This becomes even more of a responsibility, when you are exceptionally talented and gifted. Knowledge ought to be shared. It is knowledge because it has an intrinsic value and could be applied. If you hold on to what you know tenaciously, it will begin to stink and cause you problems with people who wish to learn about what you know.
